1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how the Snooker Scoreboard app for Android (“the app”) handles information. The app is a sports utility for keeping score in snooker matches. If you have any questions about this policy, you can contact us at snookerscoreboard@gmail.com.

2. Data we collect

The app does not collect or share any personal data. We do not use analytics, tracking or advertising tools, and we have no servers that receive information about you or how you use the app.

3. Information stored on your device

To work, the app saves the information you enter and the results of your matches: player names, scores, frames, breaks, statistics and match history. This information is stored only on your device, in the app’s private storage, which other apps cannot access. It is never sent to us or to third parties.

All your game progress is kept securely and privately on your device. You stay in control of it: you can delete your match history at any time from within the app, and uninstalling the app removes all of its data from your device.

4. We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, trade or share your data with anyone. Because the app does not collect personal data in the first place, there is nothing for us to sell or pass on.

5. Network access and the TV scoreboard

The app requests the INTERNET and ACCESS_WIFI_STATE permissions. These are used only to run the built-in local web server that shows the live scoreboard on a Smart TV, computer or other screen on your home or club Wi-Fi network.

The scoreboard is served directly from your phone over your local network. It is not sent over the internet or to any of our servers. Please note that while the TV scoreboard is switched on, other devices on the same Wi-Fi network that open its address can view the current score. You can switch it off at any time in the app.

If you choose to cast to a Chromecast, Google TV or another screen using your device’s built-in casting features, that connection is handled by your device and the casting service, under their own privacy policies.

6. Advertising

The app does not contain ads.

7. Children

The app is suitable for all ages, but it is not designed specifically for young children and is intended for users aged 13 and over. The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from children, or from anyone else.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy, for example if we add new features to the app. When we do, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a future feature changes how data is handled, we will describe it here before it becomes available.
